How to dump and import my privatekey?
« on: 26. March 2017, 11:50:44 »
One of the most important step you have to do, to feel a bit more safe than many:

1. Open your wallet and copy your walletadress into your clipboard

2. Go to debug-console.

3. Enter your walletpassphrase; if not done yet, so stop here and make immediately a passwort for your wallet under "settings"

The number "999" is a timeframe, how long you decided to unlock your wallet. 999 is around 15 minutes, it should be enough;

4. type now "dumprivkey" and your walletadress

You will see a long key. This key please write it down on paper or noticebook; and NEVER show the key to someone. Its the last option, to reach ur coins back!
To make an import of your walletkey, so type in this section "importprivkey" [your privatekey] instead "dumpprivkey".

5. Don't forget to lock your wallet again with "walletlock"
